Halloween is here! The boys decided to dress as pageant queens for the big day.... They turned out amazing- and actually made for really pretty girls... Who knew?

We sat and watched their Halloween parade with Rylan, Justin Bieber and Ariel (or Heather and Tylar, either one)

We made lots of food (of course)

And went trick or treating until late. The weather was gorgeous and it couldn't have been a happier day. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

Maddie and I surprised my mom back in August with tickets to Jason Aldeans "My Kinda Party" tour... So that's exactly where we were Saturday night. We had a late lunch so we stopped by Jamba Juice on the way to the Maverik Center, where we waited in line and made our way in to find our seats.

This is our second time seeing Jason, and anyone who has been knows that the "country" part of his concerts begins and ends with his hat and cowboy boots. Because, aside from those 2 things, it's about as far away from traditional country as you can get. It's loud, bass-y rock that is unlike anything else I've heard. He is just a great performer- I will always jump at the chance to see him live. I already can't wait for him to come to Salt Lake City again.

I love that I have 2 best friends built right in.

Oh, and I saved the best for last... Just look at that smile.

Thursday was a overwhelmingly beautiful day.

One of those days where you just walk around and marvel because you can't believe that things could fall together so nicely in your life and that everything is just so... Lovely.

We decided to make a downtown appointment into a day trip including a long walk down a gorgeous tree-lined street, spending time in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, lunch at the Rio Grande Cafe (one of our favorites), browsing through an art exhibit, a trip to an old fashioned pharmacy, and treats at a quaint bakery that was around during World War II.

For those of you who aren't familiar with The Cathedral of the Madeleine, it is a Roman Catholic cathedral built in 1909 and is is breathtakingly beautiful.

We made our way to the Rio Grande Cafe and had lunch where we laughed, ate, and had a great timeWe then walked next door to the art exhibit that was being held

This bakery is so cute and fun- the employees are so friendly and it smells like a little piece of heaven in there.

We grabbed a pumpkin-shaped Papa Murphys pizza on the way and went home exhausted and happy.

My cute friend James and I stayed up and watched Paranormal Activity 2 and got all scared and excited for the 3rd movie. I never remember to take pictures when we're together- which is so unlike me but needs to end because the pictures we do have together are super funny.

Well, I guess I'll start from the beginning... In my last post I mentioned moving over to another blog address, specifically a Tumblog for all the technical reasons I mentioned but also because I felt like no one was reading or following this address....

Boy was I wrong.

A quick look at my traffic/feed was shocking to say the least- and also humbling and reassuring. Basically what I've figured out is that all of you readers out there silently lurk without leaving a trace... And I suppose that's ok. Coming from the queen of all lurkers, I can deal with that. So, it looks like I'll be forced to deal with bloggers shoddy system in exchange for my loyal readers continued support. Seems fair.

Oh, and I love you all. Really, I do.

I've been thinking about moving this blog over to a Tumblog. For those unfamiliar with Tumblr, it's another blogging site, but with a much stronger interface, and in my opinion it's just... better. It's faster, easier, and more reliable. (In fact, while I was posting my last blog on Blogger, I had to re-upload my pictures 3 times. THREE times. Unacceptable.)

To be honest, I only post here the few times that I do because I have some sort of feeling that SOMEONE reads my posts... Although I'm sure that's totally false. Is anyone even on blogger anymore? I'm on Tumblr everyday, for extended periods of time. I feel like more things would get posted and more often. Actually, I'm sure of it.

I really do blog just for my own sentiment, I would never expect that people actually enjoy the small things in my life that I happen to find memorable in some way. But, while my personal tumblog that I've had for a little under a year has hundreds of active subscribers, I can't help but feel all alone in this empty blogger land.

So, if no one objects, I'm moving our little love fest over to Tumblr. It's been a good ride, blogger. I'm sorry, but you're just not good enough anymore.

We've been to Frightmares at Lagoon several times this season, and it's been fun- BUT... The boys are too scared to go into the big haunted houses. So, the 3 girls decided to take a trip up and do just that. We went in, went in all 4 walk throughs, and left. I think we were there for about... 2 hours? That's gotta be some kind of new record. Haha. It was a lot of fun, and they were actually pretty scary.

On the way home I decided we should go to Nightmare on 13th- it was on the way home and we probably won't get another chance... Or so my argument went.

It was SCARY. And FUN.

Mom and I took a little trip downtown and enjoyed the day... We sat at an outdoor table and soaked in the autumn sun, enjoyed a delicious lunch from Einstein Bagels, met a new friend, bought some treats at a local bakery and talked about... Everything. I love autumn in the city.

We spent Saturday at the pumpkin patch- the weather was sunny but windy... Such a welcome break from the gray skies and rain. The kids ran wild and fed the goats, explored and picked their perfect pumpkin. We ended up with quite the haul, and couldn't be happier about it.

Friday was a gloomy day filled with stormy skies and frosty weather. We spent the day running some errands and putting the Halloween decorations up. The girls and I decided to go see the new Joseph Gordon Levitt/Seth Rogen movie 50/50.

Brightening up a gloomy day with a movie about... Cancer. Hmm.

Let me tell you this. It was funny, real, heartbreaking and beautiful. I'm so glad I saw it. It's a game changer. Highly recommended.

We concluded our aforementioned JTT weekend (Man of the House Thursday, Tom and Huck Friday) on Sunday when we went to see The Lion King in 3D.And... It was amazing in every way. The 3D was outstanding. the colors were beautiful and vivid, and the sound was loud and intense. Also, I should say that we cried. The WHOLE time. It's so beautiful and there is just so much history there. So many times I looked over to see I wasn't the only one wiping my rolling tears off from underneath my 3D glasses. It will always be my favorite Disney film and also one of my favorite films in general.

I highly suggest going, but hurry! It's only in theaters for 2 weeks. And as I read, I found out that once again The Lion King is breaking all sorts of records, coming in at number one and the first re-release in 14 years to do so. It deserves it.

I know you all remember.

There was one very attractive reason why I watched Home Improvement every. single. week.
In my 8 year old world- there was NOTHING better than some JTT. I was old enough to love him in every way, but still young enough to be freaked out when people (especially my parents) called me out on my crush. So I crushed on him haaaard. Secretly. Well, mostly secretly.

{I made my mother take me to see this movie at least 23 times in the theater. Best movie evaaa}

I was sure I was going to have a child named Taylor, my favorite thing to do was peruse each BOP/Tiger Beat/PopStar magazine to make sure I knew all the best facts about him while my mother checked out the groceries at Albertsons, and a trip to Blockbuster was rewarded with large posters and movie covers floor to ceiling. "If I stand in this section, they'll just think I'm browsing for a good choice in the "T" section... WHEN REALLY I'M JUST STARING AT THE TOM AND HUCK VHS COVER FOR 10 MINUTES". I distinctly remember writing "JTT is such a babe" in my purple journal- but then getting scared someone would find it, so of course I ripped it out and crumpled it up. Yeah. It went a lot like that.

Anyway, my love for Jonathan eventually waned as he largely disappeared from the scene and made way for some other boy loves as a young teen/teen*ahem*adult. Turns out he's been schooling it up, been overseas for a few years and largely off the radar. In fact, I've only seen a couple of pictures of him in the last- oh- 5 years? Still so pretty.

So, you can imagine my excitement when I found these gems online from the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, it showcases a Home Improvement reunion.

Look how cute he is! My 8 year old heart just leapt right out of my chest with joy. His 30th (I know, I died a little inside) birthday was last week, and it only seems fitting since we're all going to enjoy Jonathans cute voice as Simba on Sunday when we go to The Lion King in 3D. I think Maddie's idea of a JTT weekend sounds like a wonderful idea.

We decided to take a ride on Trax from the new station right down the road from our house...
So we walked to The Rio Grande Cafe, where we ate amazing lunch, fed quarters to the jukebox, laughed and had a great time...We walked back to The Gateway, shopped our hearts out, and people watched the day away.

The train ride on the way back was insane and a little out of control- BUT- we all made it back home and the boys went to play at their friends birthday party. We had discussed going to Olive Garden- but opted instead for ordered in Chinese food and Bad Teacher.

{Watch it. No matter what anyone says, just do it. You'll laugh}

Thursday evening was spent with my dads mother- my sweet grandma Julie. I've missed her so much- but as it goes with anyone you love... You are together for 5 minutes and it's like you were never apart. We all went for a fun dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory, where we laughed and talked and had a great time together.

She and my dad went to Twin Falls for her 50th class reunion, and when the returned Sunday morning we all sat around and had chicken croissants and potato salad for lunch, looked at old photographs {I'll post some of those later} and mugged it up for the camera before she left for the airport.

Oh and Tom and Julie? BFF.

We've been excited for "Friends With Benefits" for awhile, so we decided to go opening night and party it up :) It was a 10:30pm showing, so the crowd was great, and it was such. a. GOOD. movie.

I'm sure everyone knows I'm not a fan of chick-flicks, I'm not easily swayed or impressed with mushy-girl stuff. So I was super impressed to find out that it was much more a "comedy" than a "romantic comedy". We laughed and laughed, and I fell even deeper in love with Justin Timberlake than I was in the 8th grade. Who even knew that was possible?!

Let's just take a moment.

He's GORGEOUS.
The name "Friends With Benefits" should tip you off that there's a lot of skin involved... Both he and Mila are beautiful and... Hmm.

Anyway, super funny and cute, lots of memorable lines... And Justin Timberlake. Justin would be my ultimate choice for a frenz with benz. Love him.

Oh- also- Woody Harrelson is hilarious in this movie. Funnnnny.

So, I follow Billy Currington on Facebook, (would you expect anything less?!) and one his updates said to head on over to the fan page to check out some tour photos... So of course I did, and there were 4 of them posted from Salt Lake. And guess what?! The 3 of us are in 2 of them!

I've done a great job circling where we are for your convenience. (Thanks for the technique, Perez) I realize we look small and perhaps not so noticeable to the untrained eye, but hear this. I'm forever on Billy Curringtons website- which may or may not be one step closer to Mr. Currington showing up on my front porch with some magnolias, sweet tea and a proposal.

Raging Waters is now Seven Peaks. Which I don't really understand since it seems like all they've done is paint some slides, raise prices and get lamer. Well annnnyways...

That's where we spent all day Thursday. Maddies orthodontist had his HUGE party that day, complete with a DJ, tons of food, soda and fun all. day. long.

The kids had an absolute blast (and by kids, of course I mean me) and we were tired, burned and happy by the time we left.

We stopped and washed the remains of our night with Kenny off of the van (saaaad) and got some delicious milkshakes on our way home, as we unrolled the windows and sang our hearts out all the way.

Life is sweet =)

I've had a lot of great nights. A LOT. But, this one takes the cake. Actually- it takes the whole bakery. We ordered our tickets to Kenny Chesneys Goin' Coastal tour back on the first day of March- it was snowing outside, and a July day full of fun and sun seemed like a world away. But, it approached fast and now I'm watching the July rain while I write all about the most amazing time I've ever had.

Kenny returned to Usana this year- which itself is a great thing. The sound's better than Rio Tinto, the seats are better, the venue is just... Better. I blindly ordered our fan club tickets without certainty of where they would be- it wasn't until I arrived at the arena that I discovered just how close we really were. I immediately started to cry (first of many times for the night) and just sat back and wondered how I could have been so lucky. Our seats were section 103, row L. I assumed that with it being row L- we would be sitting in the 12th row- which is absolutely amazing for a Chesney show. When I realized we were 8th row- I couldn't believe it. When I realized we could run up to the front and touch the stage- I lost my mind.

We left for the concert and headed to Walgreens for some car markers and the ATM

then headed over to Usana.

The skies had been threatening all day- and the wind was so intense that they had to remove the "Goin' Coastal" banner from in front of the speakers. I'm glad I got a picture of them before they took them down.

We walked around for a bit and then settled in our seats to watch Uncle Kracker- he was Kennys first opening act. He was fantastic (albeit a bit intoxicated, haha) and sounded exactly the same as on his records. He sang all of our favorites and was a lot of fun.

We had time to get a couple of beers (and a slushy for Maddie, :])
and head back to our seats when we heard Billy Curringtons band start playing "That's How Country Boys Roll" so we ran back to our seats and started singing along to all of our favorites. I realize some of you may not know who Billy Currington is. He's great. Anyway- when I was a Senior in High School, I had 2 peoples pictures in my locker. Billy and Kenny. It seems a little ironic now, but it's true. I used to listen to Billys first album on my DISCMAN while I would lie in bed. Need I say more?

We then couldn't handle ourselves anymore so we ran down to the stage where he was performing... And... This happened.

That's right friends. Billy Currington held each one of our hands and then looked straight at me and smiled. I KNOW. So anyway- we were all a little amped up and excited- I was shaky and doing the famous "fan girl fan" with my hands while he finished up the rest of his set. (My mother says my voice reached a level that only dogs could hear. I'm not denying this.)

We barely had time to take a bathroom break and head to our seats when it was KENNY CHESNEY TIME!

He opened with "Live a Little" and the crowd went NUTS. He sang one hit after another- with the 3 of us screaming and singing along to every word. I lost control for the 786th time that night when he started to sing "Anything But Mine" and I started BAWLING. We ran down the center of the aisle where I was able to get a great video until security made us move (should have gone down the left side, dang it) but I was in a crying fog by this point and was just soaking it in. He just kept bringing the hits- I kept bringing the tears- and we all kept bringing the screams, laughs and smiles. By the time he was finishing up with "She thinks My Tractor's Sexy" We ran down and shoved our way through and then realized he brought Billy out, which was perfect because we were right up by the stage at this point.

We screamed louder than I thought possible- I would've never dreamed that I would be this close to Kenny Chesney- never in a million years. And to be able to share it with two of my favorite people in the world... It's still a little surreal. I feel very lucky and blessed. I was in tears (again), and then Kenny came out for his encore of "Boys of Fall". He was literally 4 feet away from us. I still can't believe it.

It's a little overwhelming. It may seem like I'm being overly dramatic- but you have to understand the love that flows through my veins for Mr. Chesney. There is no artist in this world that evokes the feeling and memories like he does. His music is and has been the soundtrack to my life since I was a young teenager. And out of 20,000 people in the arena that night- we were some of about 30 people who got to be close and enjoy the fun moments right up front. I'll always be in awe.

After the lights went up and it was all said and done- we hugged and smiled and hugged some more- and then headed on the long trek back up the hill to our car. We saw Angela and Jeff and visited for a minute, then we realized we had NO idea where our car was parked. Whoops.

So we wandered for a bit and eventually found it- and ended up meeting some great people that helped pass the time while we waited for the hour long line to clear up.

I'm still a little emotional about it- it was just such a life-changing experience. I've seen Kenny several times- but never like this. I'm so thankful for our Flip Video- it allowed me to capture some of the best moments so we can enjoy them forever. =)

Our long weekend came to a close with a big finish with a baseball game, Cafe Rio, BBQ, a visit with friends, the carnival and a spectacular fireworks show.

We went and hung out at Ivans baseball game- where we chatted with friends, held some babies, and cheered on the team. They ended up losing by just 1 point, which was a big bummer, but we all ended up at Cafe Rio where we sat and chatted and rehashed the events.
We all came home and got decked out in our Red, White, and Blue so we could go to the carnival/fireworks. We made a quick pit-stop over to the Hansens to deliver some frogs eye salad, where we found out that Dave had converted all of their home movies to dvd- so we sat and watched a whole bunch of little gems from our Showtime USA era. Completely hysterical.
We met up with the boys and started playing at the carnival- and let me just say this.

The carnies, the food, the lines, the people watching... Honestly, what's better than sitting on a bench with some cotton candy and watching the world go by? Right. We all walked around and saw some fun friends, and then found our spot for the fireworks. We sat and waited and the oooh'd and ahhh'd over all the fun ones.

We took the trek back to the car and had all the windows rolled down and our music turned up- and sang our hearts out even as we pulled into the driveway. The boys were dying to open some of their fireworks so we all got some midnight BBQ and had a seat to watch more fireworks.

WE LOVE THE RODEO!

It was oh so much fun... We sat in front of some really great people, laughed and sang along, and boo'ed and cheered with the best of them.

After it was over, we jammed to some Kenny on our late-night quest to find some Mexican food- we ended up at Betos- which was SO GROSS... But we got a whole bunch of great laughs so that's all that really matters. =)

Here are some before/after pictures. It's a little hard to understand just how much we have done, we've packed every room, washed every wall, painted the entire main area (2 halls, 2 stair wells, kitchen and the living room) replaced the entry-way tile to a more neutral tone, and completely rearranged and redecorated. The before photos are almost shocking- I suppose when you live with something the severity of the situation isn't quite so apparent. Haha.

Here is my bedroom from the doorway looking towards the window corner- obviously furniture free. It's hard to tell right away just how bad this floor was- it was definitely over due.

Here is a before/during/after of the living room. As you can tell- during the 3 week packing/painting process, we walked around on particle board sub-floor. Made it easy to paint but was a nightmare on our feet. Makes us all the more grateful for our new plushy carpet =)

The stairs were easily the worst spot in the whole house. Now they are soft and beautiful- we're loving life.

This is just a taste- I have a lot more to show just how fun everything has been.

about a bunny...

This little fabric bunny means so much... It's hard to put into words. She was hand sewn by my beautiful Aunt Lorie who passed away 14 years ago today. (For more on her story, go here)

Obviously at 3 years old I had no idea how special this little bunny would become. She sits on my bed everyday and if there was ever a fire- you know what I'd bring.

Here is Lorie proudly showing off her little Miranda bump... You can see my bunny shortly after completion in the background. There's another picture of her giving me the bunny but I have yet to find it... I'm pretty sure I was being a 3 year old brat in it anyway... You can use your imagination.

This bunny will always bring sweet memories- a tender mercy.

I'm blogging from my kitchen floor- trying to stay out of the way of the carpet layers who have descended upon our home after a long and daunting 2 month process. The entire house has been torn apart and painted- it will be such a relief when everything is put back in place and we can get started on something different- although I have a feeling any projects will be put on hold for at least the next 2 months- the pool is calling our names.

It was a fun day. He celebrated with his friends at the last day of school, we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-a, ate dinner at the Olive Garden and then opened gifts.

Wednesday marked the start of our Easter/Spring Break weekend. We started right away with a game of Monopoly {our favorite}... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADDIE!!

This is nuts... Little baby Maddie turned 17 on the 17th! Which of course is on St. Patricks day, and gives us more of an excuse to go all out and party it up allll weekend long. You betcha!

Mom and I surprised Maddie at her school with a life-size Justin Bieber cut out,

(with a quality poster no less)

We went and hung out with Zach at Chilis f0r lunch and laughed ourselves silly like we always do.We waited for the boys to be finished with practice and then we went to Olive Garden and had a fabulous time.

It truly was a great day- topped off with gifts and a chicken shaped cake. (That's Maddie for you. Ha.)

So glad to have had 17 years full of laughs courtesy of Maddie... Here's to lots more :]

The kids didn't have school on Friday, so we packed up and went to the Dinosaur Museum! We love it there... It's one of our very favorites! So we walked around {well, Maddie rode in the rented wheelchair- her toe is still so bad} and marveled at all the fun stuff, and then took a little trip through the gift shop and found some more fun stuff. We decided to go over to Cabelas since it's right across the street... But got sidetracked first into going into a little boutique/antique shop on the way there. We made it to Cabelas and looked around at all of the {sad} but cute animals and sat in the ugliest/comfiest recliner you'll probably ever come across {camo may become part of my decor for this purpose}

Our rumbling tummies lured us to Chuck a Rama for a fun dinner with lots of laughs and fun.

Days off= Good for the soul. :)

October is half over- and Halloween is fast approaching. Crazy how time flies. I stopped right dead in the middle of creating a jester costume from virtually no pattern to write this little post- because there is no way I want to forget any little detail of this fantastic U.E.A. weekend.

Thursday we took care of some small business first, and then we knew we were ready for a whole weekend of fun. We had lunch at Rumbi with bfff Mr. Tim, and then we played at D.I... {One of our specialties, as you know...} and ate dinner at Cafe Rio where we visited with some old friends and laughed ourselves silly.

Friday we lounged around in our jammies and made french bread pizza, and then we all snuggled up on the couch to watch the {seemingly harmless but ultimately terrifying} Night of the Living Dead. It was totally scary and a big scream fest right in the middle of the afternoon. Bliss! Then we decided to get down to business and get ready.. For... Jackass 3D. That's right friends- we've waited almost an entire year. I bought the boxed set and both the movies for Christmas- so we've been excited for a long time. We stopped at Wendys and talked about where we would hide if Zombies attacked- that remains inconclusive at this point. Ha ha. On the way to the theater we saw a biker totally wipe out on his bike- perfect start to our evening of Jackass. The movie? It was HILARIOUS. The 3D was so fun and neat- and nothing beats Johnny Knoxville on the big screen. Just an added bonus. We laughed hysterically for an hour and a half... What's more fun than that?! :] {Plus- it was pretty funny that there were two cops that were asked to monitor the outside of the Jackass theater because people were being so rowdy on the way out after seeing the movie.} Ha ha. :]

Saturday we got aggravated at the people at Fazolis, picked out our perfect pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, and then I took Maddie to go babysitting at the Brintons... They are such a fun family and have such adorable little kids. Mom and I made a cocoa cake for dads birthday and fettuccine alfredo, salad and garlic bread for dinner... It was so beyond good. We don't cook around here very often but it is fun to stand and laugh with mom and our Arbor Mist, and make such yummy food. Maddie came home and we watched Sleepy Hollow- we watch it every year and it never gets old. One of our favorites- I can't believe it's already that time of year again.

Today we got our gas station cokes and McDonalds dollar menu- our Sunday standard- then scoured Halloween stores for the last touches on our Halloween costumes. It all ended with us munching on homemade pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and watching Teen Mom- it's our favorite.

I sometimes look around and marvel at the beautiful life that surrounds me- I couldn't be more blessed and happy.

Labor Day now means "long weekend of fun" now that I don't work retail... And I enjoyed every. second. trust me.

Thursday mom and I went to Chilis where Zach spoiled us as usual... Chips, salsa, Coke, and molten chocolate cake for lunch- not kidding. Yeah- it was a great day.

Amazing? Of course.

After the kids got out of school, we caused some ruckus at Astro Burger- and then we went and hung out at Isaacs baseball game... The weather was beautiful and we basically just chatted with Jossie the whole time anyway... Sooo... It worked out pretty well. Ha ha =)

Friday I went to lunch with dad to this crazy good teryaki place I had never been to before... It was so. good. Then Tim came over to play- we spent the evening at Ikea and then came home and watched Hairspray- it's still one of my (our) favorites. We laughed and sang and had a great time... As usual... =)

Saturday we started early- and we shopped. All. Day. Not kidding- we went to Tai Pan Trading, Taiwan Imports, Quilted Bear and Chuck- my feet were aching and band-aided (<-- new word)- and we bought the best stuff! Ahh! I love it! Most of it was for Halloween, but some of it was just for fun =)

After allll of that- we stopped by to see Monicas new house- it is absolutely beautiful! Seriously gorgeous.

Sunday we (of course) got cokes and a paper- and hung out all day and cleaned, made pumpkin pie, and watched St. Elmos Fire all cuddled up on the couch. Could it get any better?! Honestly. Monday we chose Chick-fil-a after a lot of debate and even some fighting... Ha ha!! We hurried and ate and then went to see Despicable Me in 3D. It was SO cute- I loved it and I laughed the whole time.

We went and walked around Wheeler Farm forever until we were hungry enough to go to dinner.. Can you guess where?! That's right. Chuck-a-rama. Again. I wonder if Ivan got enough to eat?

My 23rd birthday has come and gone... It wasn't as horrible as I was prepared for- thanks in great part to all the wonderful people I have that surround me with love. I took the day off work so we could play all day.

We went to Cafe Rio for lunch, hung out with Tim, decided on a Marie Callenders banana cream pie in the place of a birthday cake, went to Chuck a Rama for dinner with all my favorite people, hung out by the pool, and was spoiled completely rotten by my lovely family.

Lets just say... Could be worse ;) I am constantly reminded of all the blessings in my life. 23, show me whatcha got =)

Saturday was my 23rd birthday party! There was tons of food, friends, and fun! My perfect kind of day!

The day started out beautiful- windy- but sunny. As the day wore on, the clouds became more threatening and the wind picked up. We went early to meet the people who were going to set up the slide, and we were met with bad news- it was too windy to set it up =( After a tearful call to my mother, we decided to continue on in hopes that the weather would improve and that the party would still be fun. Unfortunately by the time mom and I returned with all of the food, dressed and ready to go- it was a complete downpour. Honestly- it was like, Aurora-tornado-warning bad. Poor Maddie, Tim, and Isaac- die hard decorators 'till the end. Even as they crouched beneath the party tables, they were determined to get those tablecloths to stay =)

It finally calmed down and cleared up in time for the party and all was well (minus the slide), and so many of my great family and friends were able to come and celebrate with us.

Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without mom to give me such great ideas, Maddie to help, stay up late, and make beautiful cupcakes, and Tim for willing to brave the storm and help us pull it all together. And of course- all the people who came and shared the fun. It turned out to be a perfect night- so many fun friends!

All the fun? Well... It didn't end with the party.

We went home and played PIT (our FAVORITE) with my lovely friend Zach,

and later stayed up until all hours of the night and played and laughed with Tim.

What a great start to my birthday week! I am a lucky girl =)

Remember this?

Well we did all over again! Barbie Party 2.0! Only this time Tim joined us in all of our Barbie playing madness. It was so much fun- we made pizza and then went crazy and ate pink Jell-O parfaits, pink Jell-O popcorn, pink lemonade, and pink cupcakes. Lot's of pink! The basement looked like a disaster area- which is just how we like it =) We dug through all of the stuff for hours while we watched High School Musical 3, took crazy pictures and laughed ourselves silly.

We went and got a Snowie in the rain, danced to Justin Bieber, phone pranked a couple of people, played "Would You Rather" and laughed hysterically over all of Ivans funny antics.

Then we played night games clear into the night, created shenanigans and laughed some more. Because that's what we do best.

Best friends that fit in perfectly with your family are hard to find- sometimes you only find one who truly does. I am so blessed to have Tim- we all are. He just... Gets us.

The Wilbourns- we're loud, we act like 12 year old kids most of the time, we listen to music up way too loud, we stay up too late, we yell a lot, we're rambunctious, and at times, totally out of control. I'm so lucky to have somebody who understands and loves us anyway- since I also like to think that we're crazy, unique, funny, loving, loyal and fun. Not often you find somebody who appreciates both.

So- it shouldn't surprise you that we were first in line (literally-we were) to see Charlie St. Cloud on Friday night.

And let me tell you this... It was beautiful.

And I'm not just talking about the bluest eyes you've ever seen on the screen for 2 hours...

{although that helped a little...}

It really was beautiful. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie, especially in the theater when I have cried. The entire time. I mean, tears, knot in the throat- full on bawl-fest. It hits really close to home because of the timing of events in the movie & ages of the characters- plus- who wouldn't tear up when they see Zac get as emotional as he does? :)

Everyone needs to see this movie. Anybody who has loved and lost... Or anybody who has loved at all. Our lives can change in an instant. It's so easy to forget that. I'm so glad I have Zac Efron to remind me =)

Saturday was the Justin Bieber concert! We have waited for so long... It seems like it just FLEW by. It's a bit bittersweet- I am bummed it's over but so glad it happened. Everything was perfect. We went shopping in the morning to pick up a few last minute things... Which in turn gave us an opportunity to represent our Bieber love to total strangers. Which we enjoy.

We met up with our favorite Tim, his cute sister and little nieces at the Training Table for dinner- where we had a whole group join in on our impromptu "Baby" jam session =).

Saying the concert was amazing is an understatement. We screamed, laughed, cried, sang, danced, jumped and basically had the time of our lives. Sean Kingston opened, so the losing-of-the-minds started early. SO FUN. Then came Justin. He is just so. talented. He opened with "Love Me", and this was me. Of course he sang all of our favorites, with us fist pumping and screaming, but by the time he made it to "Down to Earth, fist pumping had given way to this. Our voices were hoarse, our heads were pounding & our ears were buzzing and foggy.

After the concert we met Tim again for some hilarious shenanigans... We hunted for any place that served milkshakes at 11:00 pm, ended up at Carls Jr. where we played, laughed, talked way too loud, annoyed the clerks, kiiicked, streeetched, plotted, confessed, and just had an amazing time.

As if that wasn't enough fun for one night- we chatted in the car and took the craziest of pictures, played with the fart machines (yes, fart machines) and laughed ourselves silly. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people to share these special times with.
